Luke 2:1-20
When I read the Christmas Story from Luke, it makes me think about how scared the shepherds must have been at first and then how exciting it was! Here they were, out in the field watching over their flocks of sheep, and suddenly an angel appeared to them. I’m sure they were terrified and amazed at the same time. Just think how excited they had to of been when they actually realized what the angel was telling them! The Messiah is here, the Lord! One who is here to save you! I never tire of hearing or reading this piece of scripture and imagining how the shepherds must have felt! Looking forward to what this new Messiah would mean to them! Even now, after all these years, I get excited at Christmas, also! Our Messiah is here with us now and will always be with us as long as we have faith and believe in him!
