UMW Spring Brunch
Each spring the United Methodist Women of Buford First UMC host a Women’s brunch that is open to ALL women of the church (and their friends!) free of charge.
The Spring Brunch is a wonderful time to enjoy good food and great fun with other church members and their friends and family. Women’s circle members are asked to bring potluck and usually sign up with their leaders during one of the early Spring meetings prior to the brunch. Other ladies are invited to bring potluck to share, but it is not required of them to do so.
Women’s Retreat
The United Methodist Women at Buford First UMC organize Women’s Retreats each fall at camp locations around North Georgia. The Women’s Retreat is open to all women of Buford First as well as to friends and family members that would like to attend.
Youth Pumpkin Fundraiser: “The Patch”
Each October the front lawn of the church is covered in pumpkins, earning our church the nickname the “Pumpkin Church,” by the Buford community. The pumpkin sale is hosted by the youth group and the money earnedgoes to benefit overall youth missions.
UMW Christmas Brunch
Each December, the United Methodist Women of Buford First UMC host a Women’s Christmas Brunch that is open to all of the ladies of our church.
Attendees are asked to bring a dish to share and to wear festive holiday attire. The Christmas Brunch is a fun and festive time where we not only enjoy good food and good people, but are also entertained and inspired by wonderful holiday music by a local music ensemble, choir, or musical group.
