What we believe

Core Values of Buford First United Methodist Church

All:

All people are created uniquely by God, matter to God, and created with a purpose by God.

Bible-based:

The Bible is the inspired word of God and It is alive and active.

Called:

We are called as the church to be in communion with God, to love God with all of our hearts, souls, and minds, to love our neighbors, and to show compassion to others so they might come to know God through Jesus Christ.

Discipleship:

We are called to make disciples of others (Matthew 28:18-20). We are to share our faith and tell nonbelievers about the wonderful changes Jesus Christ has made in our lives. No matter what our maturity level in the Christian life, we have something to offer.

Exist:

The church exists to lead the world to know and experience the love of God and is called to reach those who are not connected to God through Jesus Christ. The Bible is clear that Jesus came and gave His life so that everyone could be saved. (Romans 10:13).
