Holy Week 2024

Lenten Lunch and Learn Potluck

On Wednesday of Holy Week (March 27) we will have our Lenten lunch and learn. Although this is a continuation of our Lenten Bible Study all are welcome. We will have food and good discussions. Both Rev. Buckman and Brendan Smith will be part of the panel that will be answering questions that you have about faith or interpretations. If you would like to submit your question, contact Sydney Yancey. While registering is not necessary, it will help us prepare.

Maundy Thursday Service

The term “Maundy” is Latin and is translated as “Commandment,” thus reminding us that Jesus gave his followers at the last supper a new commandment, “to love one another as I have loved you.”

A Service of Tenebrae, or “Shadows,” is based on a twelfth-century service that is an extended meditation on the passion of Christ. It retells the story of Jesus’ final days, including his last supper, crucifixion, and death.

Join us on Thursday, March 28, at 7 p.m. in the Sanctuary for this special service of Communion and Tenebrae as the choir leads us in remembering the last couple of days that led to the cross through music depicted in through the perspective of the observer, alongside one’s own personal experience.

Easter Sunday

Celebrate the fact that Jesus rose from the grave with us this Easter. We will have two services at the church. Our services will be at 9 and 11 a.m. Both services will be held in the Sanctuary, featuring traditional hymns, organ with brass, handbells, and our choir. Whichever service you choose, you will find a warm, friendly group of people there to welcome you as we worship together. We also have a nursery available. Come and celebrate Easter with us on Sunday, March 31.
