Worshipping Together at Last

Friends and church family,

I cannot express the joy I feel in seeing many of you coming back to worship. Each week we see more people coming to worship our Lord. As you may know, we have been very deliberate in our re-gathering process. We had plans to continue social distancing and wearing masks through the month of May. However, when the CDC came out with the guideline that fully vaccinated individuals do not have to wear a mask in a full capacity setting, we rethought our policy.

Beginning Sunday, May 23, we will enact the following changes in our re-gathering plans for worship. These changes include:

  • Masks will become optional. We encourage you to do what you feel comfortable doing.
  • We will not be social distancing in the center section of the Sanctuary. All pews will be open for seating. We will still be skipping pews on the side sections. This will allow those who would feel more comfortable having some distance from others the ability to do so.

We realize that people have different comfort levels regarding masks and social distancing. We want to honor everyone’s personal choices. Do what you feel comfortable and safe doing, whether it involves wearing your mask or where you sit. I am just happy to be seeing you in worship.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions about this next step in our re-gathering.

In His Grace,
Pastor Jim

Everything is permitted, but everything is not beneficial. Everything is permitted, but everything does not build others up. No one should look out for their own advantage, but they should look out for each other.
