Maundy Thursday is the day in which we remember Jesus celebrating the Passover Meal with His disciples. He greeted them as they entered and cleaned their feet. Later on, He took bread and broke it saying, “This is my body that is broken for you.” Then He took the cup and said, “This is my blood of the new covenant, poured out for you and for the forgiveness of sins.” After they ate, Jesus and the disciples went out to the Garden of Gethsemane where He was arrested.
Please join us Thursday, April 1, at 7 p.m. for our Maundy Thursday Service in the sanctuary. Through Holy Communion, music, the reading of Scripture, and extinguishing of candles (Service of Tenebrae), we will remember the last days that led Jesus to the cross.
We will practice COVID safety procedures—mask wearing and social distancing are mandatory. We will be live-streaming the service for those who will be worshipping from home. You can participate by clicking the link below at 7 p.m., April 1:
