Bahamas Mission Trips

Bahamas Mission Trips

We have been traveling to the Bahamas for mission work since 2010. We’ve gotten to know the people there, especially at All Saints Camp and St. Michael’s Methodist Church.

All Saints Camp serves as a place of refuge for the poorest of the poor in Nassau. Many of the residents there are all alone in this world, have HIV or AIDS, and have nowhere else to turn.

It is a blessing to form ongoing relationships with the people living in Nassau. The pastor of St. Michael’s, Reverend Philip Stubbs, has visited Buford FUMC five times since 2014. We have gotten to know his family and worshipped with the St. Michael congregation several times.

When we go to Nassau, we have opportunities to serve as Vacation Bible School leaders and do some home repairs at All Saints Camp. Volunteers can even do some of both. Rising ninth graders and older are eligible for this amazing trip. Younger youth may attend if a parent accompanies them. Email Suzanne Clegg for more information.
